Oil pressure connection for '73 454

I have a 454 in my 68 that supposedly came off a 73 corvette and am puzzled with where to connect the oil pressure line to the block. I know there's a fitting near the oil filter but it might interfere with the clutch linkage. Some have mentioned one at the top back of the block (not much room to see back there. There must be an alternate location besides these hard to reach spots...any ideas or suggestions hightly welcomed.

Mahalo and aloha in advance.

You can also plumb it in at the left side main oil gallery just above the pan rail, in fact I have seen them in the front of that gallery before although that is not original. The factory location is just above the filter and at the front edge of the filter, it should not interfer with the clutch linkage.
