Torque for BB Oil Filter Insert?

I'm finishing up putting my 427 together and need to install the threaded piece into the oil filter housing (uses 1 bolt). Can anyone tell me the proper torque for that 1 bolt?

Thanks!

Hi, Not sure what 1 bolt housing you are refering to, but the oil filter adaptor is different for early 1965-1967 396/427 engines, it uses (2)-1/4" UNC bolts to retain it, and these engines used a can type oil filter. later blocks 1968 up have (2) 5/16" UNC bolts to retain the spin on oil filter adaptor.

If you post some more info, I will try to help.

It's a 69, and does have the 2 bolts your talking about for the filter spinner - threaded piece.

Thanks!!!!!!!!

I believe there is no gasket that goes on the adapter and I think there should be no thread lock on the bolts?

Does this sound correct?
