302 alum heads?

guys, having a brain fart, did any 302 have stock alum heads? or did all? or some of both?? and what year. never really figured that one out.

Nope, no 302's with aluminum heads.

I don't think GM used aluminum heads on any production SB until the mid-late 80s.

Experience...... It's what you get when you didn't get what you wanted.

the first production small block aluminum heads came out on the 87-ish Corvette L98 engine- they still put those very same heads on the ZZ4 crate motors today, but with the better LT4 valve springs.

you don't plan sincerity.
you have to make it up on the spot.

wanna hear about 20 years ago when i was too smart to know any better?

Chevy did an aluminum head for the 1960 Corvette. I believe a few got out but they were immediately cancelled due to leaks.

There is photo of one in the Feb 2009 Hot Rod; cast date 6-24-59.

Agreed but that wasn't the question and I thought maybe some of the new guys might like to see what might have been...

ALL Right, thats what i thought, I was told by a 69 camaro dude that it was stock alum heads. i had never seen one with them, but i havent see many period. so i doubted it. now tks to the Experts here. now i know and the next time i see him I ask him to join and get smart.

I believe that some of the 396 engines had aluminum heads. Perhaps your friend was thinking of this.
