Blocking the Heat Crossover Ports

I have a stock 67 327 and I am in the process of installing new intake gaskets. Question is; should I or should I not block the heat crossover ports with the new gaskets? I am using Mr. Gasket Ultra Seals and they do not have holes in them for these ports. My carb has an electric choke and there is no need for heat to operate the choke assembly. If I block these ports will it have any effects on the engine like making it little more cold natured or what?

Re: Blocking the Heat Crossover Ports

Do you drive it in cold weather? If it was a performance engine, I would block them. Anything else, don't.

Re: Blocking the Heat Crossover Ports

I seldom drive it in cold weather and it is not a performance engine. Thanks for the info.
