Timing?

Ive got the timing set on my 327 at 12 degrees. I really think it need to be higher but if i set it higher the starter drags. Is it posible that i will need just a more powerful starter, Because at 12 degrees its kinda slugish and when its cold it kinda pops, but i dont know if that is just because of the cold or what, but what do some of you guys have your 327 set at?

Re: Timing?

Change the amount of cent degress, how to in older posts
The intial means squat thu, other than starting and smooth idle...what it does up in the rev range is all important.

My Spelling is not incorrect...it is creative
