RPM Airgap on 454, hood clearence

I have a 69 with a 454 and a air cowl hood. Does anyone know if it will fit under the hood?
Thanks

The 454 will fit fine as long as you have the BB motor mounts stands, also what air cleaner are you going with.

Air gap, normal height body bushings, cowl induction hood, tons of space on a 3" air cleaner. I gotta put some modeling clay and see if I can fit a 5" air cleaner on top .

Motor on the stand was sucking the entire air cleaner assembly so hard against the carb that it would start interfering with the throttle assembly if you rev'ed it up, so I think I need a bigger air cleaner.

Not a bigger air cleaner, but a better air cleaner ! Look at the K&N's etc. You should be able to get by with a 3" tall one.

Are you thinking on putting a bigger K&N filter in a stock air cleaner like this... This is a 454 block...

No, I would just replace the paper element with the same size K&N. They flow much more air than a paper element does. The chart below, shows almost a 25% increase.

Will this fit yours ?
