Pulley Problems w/Classic Air

Dear Fellow Camaro Owners,

I am nearing completion of my 1968 SS/RS 396 convertible. I added Classic Air to the car and the add-a-pulley they provided for the third groove does not fit flush against the back of the balancer pulley. Classic has sent me another one and it also does not fit flush--there is an 1/8" gap. I am hoping that someone on the Forum has experienced pulley problems with adding either a Classic or Vintage Perfect Fit AC system. I cannot seem to find the correct add-a-pulley which will allow belts to the AC, Power Steering, Balancer, and Water Pump (Short).

Here is my question:

This is not the 375 hp engine--it is a 350 hp. Can I still use the cast iron three-groove HP pulley on my engine? Does anyone know of the correct add-a-pulley (with part number and vendor) I need to purchase? Does anyone have one for sale here they want to sell?

I am at a total (and frustrated) standstill on my project, which has been nearly three years in the making. I hope that someone here can help.

Thanks everyone,

Chris

Re: Pulley Problems w/Classic Air

The correct pulley for a BB 68 with factory a/c is 3925525 and is 6 3/4" in diameter. This is for the short water pump and mates to the stock 2 groove pulley. I got mine off e-bay, but may be available else where.
