95 Z28 fuel pump R&R

Does anyone have any good suggestions for removing the old fuel pump and installing a new one. I've been told that I have to drop the rear end, cut the exhaust system, and remove the fuel tank to get to the fuel pump unit. What about cutting through the floor board?

You will have to make a large hole to get sending unit out. The lines are long and
you need to turn the sending unit out to remove from tank.

You should not have to cut the exhaust... it will be tight, but by removing the mounts it should be close.

When you drop the rear, disconnect panhard, the swaybar from the frame & the lower shocks mounts to get the rear down further, but be careful not to over-extend the brake lines.

Thanks for all the help guys. I dropped the fuel tank the right way, and was able to get it all back together the right way. I am taking it to the shop on Wednesday because it still is not running the way it used to. I get an EGR fault code. I've checked for vacuum leaks and electrical problems and found none.
