Lifter Change?

I am upgrading my camshaft in my 540. Going from a 650 lift (250-260 dur)
to a 714 lift (260-270 dur). This is a Shafiroff motor and they sent me a
upgrade kit (Cam, springs, retainers, ect-things I can change without pull-
ing motor). Should I also replace lifters, trying to save a buck but if they
should be replaced, no problem. The current lifters have approx 5,000
miles on them. Also wondering if rods should also be replaced. The cam is
a solid roller. Thanks!

Re: Lifter Change?

Its best practice to replace lifters so the cam and lifters can bed intogether
And if changing the lift you should also be changing valve springs to match

My Spelling is not incorrect...it is creative
