suggest you post at CRG http://www.camaros.org/index.shtml
as they have a section for Orphans - documentation or VIN-stamped drivetrains - in search of the original cars

hmmm now the post on Yenko.net is gone ? Someone (I assumed it was you) posted on there the exact stamping codes AND VIN including pictures and was asking how to tell if the block had been restamped. They claimed the engine was in a 66 Impala I believe. Very strange that the post is now gone.

Post all the stampings here http://www.camaros.org/forum/index.p...e79&board=12.0 if you confirm they are legit.

Experience...... It's what you get when you didn't get what you wanted.

Cool car. I always liked the big Chevys almost as much as Camaros. That's weird about the site crashing. Now if you click on the link I posted it goes to something about a 69 Camaro for sale..

I quess when they used the "back up " from the previous day...the new post used the number in your link to the site. ...that is why you are getting a link to some other post.
