What are the best quality chrome valve covers?

As spring is almost here in North East PA, it's time to get back to my '69 convertible. I need to replace the leaky, cheap chrome valve covers on my 383. There are so many options out there, and you can't tell quality when purchasing online.

What I want is an OEM style, plain, tall, chrome quality valve cover.

Summit has (at $56) a Proform set that claims, "Proform stamped steel valve covers are made of heavy-gauge steel that is 20 percent thicker than typical aftermarket valve covers." Has anyone tried these?

Any recommendations?

A 65K orig mile 307/powerglide car - stock appearance on the outside, many perf mods to make it fun!

Re: What are the best quality chrome valve covers?

Dennis I had a set of the gray epoxy painted Proform covers with the blue and red Chevrolet logo on them. They were significantly thicker than most other covers and have the baffles in them. A good quality cover IMO. I did have a set of Moroso chrome covers on a 331 a while back. I think the Proforms are heavier gage than the Moroso covers.
