Which is worse? A half point too much compression or .010 to .005 too little quench?

Re: which is worse?

hmm...

If you have an ALKY motor, too much quench is a ngative thing...altho not entirely bad.
If you have a propane motor, not enough compression is a negaive thing...altho not bad.
Assuming you have a gas motor, with aluminum heads, 11.25:1 is pushing it on a perfect tune....and Ive seen 25 quench on an 8.5:1 motor.
Does this help? you can run upto 25 quench on the street if you have the chambers contoured and the pistons cut right. You cant have too much compression cause you can add more octane.

Give an example of what you mean. Less quench in effect is more compression. As well typically more compression is more performance so can we assume this relates to pump gas?

Re: which is worse?

Up to the point of piston rock deck flat kiss of the head, you will be fine b/c you can always add octane.
