Difference in exhaust manifolds between auto/manual?

Is there a difference in exhaust manifolds between auto/manual transmissions?
I have been looking for a set and some state that they were from a 4-speed car (or auto).... I'm confused. I thought they were the same.

Thanks.

I really can't imagine why there would be a difference...? it is either a smog setup or not, that is it....

Re: Difference in exhaust manifolds between auto/manual?

in some instances..ie: year and engine size,4 speed cars had a smog pump.

In 1968,all small block cars had a smog pump if they were a manual transmission.

Remember,I'm not making this stuff up!

Ya -- I thought most (all?) of the manual trans cars got air injection manifolds and the auto's got the manifolds without air injection. There may be some a few exceptions to that though....
