dipstick issue

have a windage tray on a sbc 350 and it hits against it...so not sure if we're getting the correct reading on how much oil we have...

any ideas on whats the correct one when using one of these..?

After putting a new pan on mine (no windage tray though), mine would hit one of the mains or something for some reason. That bend in the tube kinda causes a permanent bend to the dipstick.

I wound up putting in one of the tubeless dipsticks that is a solid rod about the diameter of a coathanger. Works great. I did have to remove the O-ring and use a piece of emory cloth to sand it down a little as it would not go in as it was. Put the O-ring back in and now it seals perfect and does not contact anything (I've got headers).
