I don't know about the BG's (ah ah ah ah stayin' alive) but if your lines have a flare on the end there should be no sealant necessary.
If you do need sealant anywhere else in the fuel system (pump fitting maybe), use Permatex #2 as it remains pliable and is fuel-proof.
