Engine Randomly Shutting Off

Just As The Title States. My Engine Suddenly Turns Off When I Stop At A Light and I Dont Understand Why? It Is A 305 With A Three Speed Transmission. This Just Started To Happen A Couple Weeks Ago. I Thought It Would Go Away With Time, But It Didnt. It Tends To Do It After A Half hr To an Hr Drive. Would Anybody have And Idea Of What It Could Be? Its Bugging Me and I Really Want To Fix This Before High School Starts. Any Help Will Be Greatly Appreciated!

Re: Engine Randomly Shutting Off

check all the connections on your coil and your ignition. A lose coil or ignition wire could cause a problem like that

Re: Engine Randomly Shutting Off

Something that I just noticed while i was in the driveway is that everytime I shift from Park to Reverse or from neutral to drive it just turns off. This seems a little wierd to me. Could it be that the neutral Safety switch is bad or could it be something else? My car is a colum shift if that makes any difference.
