There is no ID number on the pad behind the alternator on my engine.
I recently purchased my '67 vert out of Canada and the PO informed me that the current 350 is not original to the car and that it was changed out about 20 years ago. I have verified the car to be an original Canada car through GM Canada. I'm trying to find out what I can about the engine but without an ID number, I think I'm at a wall. Through GM Canada I was also able to verify that the car had a 327 and 2-speed power-glide from the factory.
The made about a billion of those 010 blocks. I've got a four bolt one in mine right now from a '78 pickup. If you pull one of the valve covers and get the casting number it's possible that may help narrow it down a little if the heads are original to the engine. Maybe not though.
