LS engine bracket Q

hello, i am going to put in a new LS3 engine in my 69 camaro. i have no a/c no heat and no power steering. can i just use the alternato bracket and measure the length i would need for a belt. all these companies only advertise the full setup. first off i would never pay over $100 for a bracket setup. second, all i need is my alternator.
thanks
Steven

Re: LS engine bracket Q

You should be able to.... But if I remember correctly you will need to do something about a tensioner.

THe only issue is you will need to run the water pump too. Unless electric. The belt will not work with the water pump and the ac becuase you won't get enough wrap on the crank pulley. I would have to double check but thats what I believe.
