Powder Coat Valve Covers

Anyone powder coat their finned Z28 valve covers? Can they be powder coated to look like the original finish?

Re: Powder Coat Valve Covers

I've heard of guys painting them with matte clear after they have been glass beaded. Supposedly, that way you get the original flat finish and they don't tarnish as quickly. Never tried it myself.

Re: Powder Coat Valve Covers

I had a guy apply clear high temp powder coat to my intake and it looks great. I've been running it for over a year now and it hasn't turned yellow or flaked off.
