82 350

Hey guys,I have a bit of a problem and was wondering if you could help. I ust put a new comp cam in, and new lifters . I just finished breaking in the cam . Iam wondering the car almost boggs when you rev the car fast , and idles a bit rough , it almost sounds like it was not running on all 8 cylinders does this seem like a tunning issue or somthing else

You didn't mention the "type" of cam. Hydraulic, solid, or roller ? It could be your lifter adjustment, it could be timing, it could be wrong wires on cylinders. (firing order)... we need more info.

You might have tightened your rocker arms to tight. You can adjust them with the car running. It is messy ! Oil goes all over ! Use lots of rags ! Loosen each rocker until you here a ticking sound. Tighten rocker arm until noise stops, and then tighten 1/2 turn. Go on to next rocker (lifter).

Also recheck your timing. Are you still running the computer controlled distributor and carburetor ?
