Cost of Magnaflux and boiling a block

Does $95 for Magnaflux test and $90 for boiling (cleaning) a block seem high? Reason for asking is that I had another shop quote me $60 and $40 respectively for the same. The more expensive shop was highly recommended while the other shop was not by a 3rd party.

Matt,
We charge $110 to clean a block but we use an oven and shot blaster. $95 to magnaflux the entire block sounds reasonable.

Re: Cost of Magnaflux and boiling a block

The shops I have used haven't pushed a mag of late for blocks. A visual in the valley area where I have had cracks (sbc) in the past seems to be the order of the day.

Is your experience different Bill?
