Good SB Rotating Assembly

What is a good SB rotating assembly that is rated under 500hp (good value)? Just got word from the machine shop that my 4-bolt checked out and is ready to go. Not even going to fool with original crank and rods!

Re: Good SB Rotating Assembly

If your looking gor a good rotator the Callies Compstar crank rods and Mahle pistons is top of the line and so far been pretty happy with thier product.

Re: Good SB Rotating Assembly

If you want to save some $ for other parts, Scat is really good quality from what I hear, I've heard some negative stuff about Eagle, but I know of a 355 with eagle internals that runs really well. Callies is good as mentioned, ross, mahle, probe, kb, are all good pistons, depends on price and quality.

The only Mustang I'd ever own is a Fender.

Agree 100% (Also Scat 4340 and Scat Rods are good for the money spent) unless he is looking to save every penny

If he is looking to save every penny a Scat Pro Comp Cast crank and Scat I Beam Pro Comp Rods are great, should set him back $550-$600 for both crank and rods and can handle some descent HP

Re: Good SB Rotating Assembly

Hyper pistons are okay, but I'd opt for forged.
