Is this your '65 327 engine?

T12I6HC is the stamping. Casting 3858180. I found it while looking at a '65 Chevelle I'm thinking of buying, but it's not the original engine. According to my book this casting number was in 64-67 Camaros, Chevelles, and trucks. I know it's a long shot, but you never know! (yes I know there are no '65 or '66 Camaros)

Re: Is this your '65 327 engine?

Post it over at CRG website in their orphans section. Is there a VIN stamp on the block to identify the vehicle?

I don't believe there is a section for other stuff. I think the orphans section is first gen camaro only. (CRG = Camaro Research Group)

Right. I should have put the first sentence last in my post and asked if there was a VIN to signify a Camaro. The OP mentioned a Camaro 327.

The book I have shows this casting number was installed in Camaros, Chevelles, and trucks.
