Engine sits weird

I was told my 69 was originally a bb car, but its long gone if thats true... Its an LA built car, with no x code.. It was replaced with a 350 many years back.. Today I noticed that the motor sits a little off center in the engine bay.. Kind of to the passenger side a bit.. Any idea why???

Re: engine sits weird

Your still using the BB motor mounts that shift the motor to the passenger side.. You'll need to pick up a set of small block mounts to correct the issue.

Re: engine sits weird

If you find the original owner to the MX code B.B. you might be able to have a real nice B.B. in your car.

Smile Re: engine sits weird

The engine (motor) mounts are the same for Big blocks and small blocks. The frame mounts or stands are what gives it the offset. The transmission crossmember is also different.
