help with pertronix ignition

hi everyone im going to install the pertronix part#1181 in my 327 2bbl engine withflame thrower#40001,is it hard to do and do i have to redo my timing.any help would be greatly appeciated thanks gary

No not too hard to do. You will want to pull the distributor out. I had to shim my pertronix
unit some so this makes it a lot easier to do. Yes you will have to re-time your engine. With the higher volt coil you need a key on constant 12 volts to the coil. It was a lot easier on Mustang with the distributor on the front. Not a bad job though.
