Re: March serpentine system

We sell and install a lof of these systems. We have the mid mount system on Michaels Monte Carlo on our website which is a 6500 RPM 383. No belt issues.

We also have a 69 Camaro with a 383 and a Style trac and it works perfectly also.

Feel free to call with any questions

Re: March serpentine system

Not to hi-jack this thread but I will ask has anyone used the March 655-22072 with A/C? I am thinking about buying it as it seems best value for my needs.

That is the set up I just ordered today from Smmit I just have to put my AC compressor on the passinger side with is better, no hoses running over the top of my motor, it will be hear tue. or wed. and I order the hard lines from Vintage Air and they are exchanging the compressor with a serpentine one, I will let you now how it works out

Re: March serpentine system

i was so tired of my alt sitting cockeyed with the after market alt bracket the sat over the #1 header. i broke many of them and the belt was never straight and didnt last long.
i decided to dump my ac. i moved my alt to the pass side. i installed a long shaft water pump and the march kit.

i love the mid mount set up. it was worth every penny.

Re: March serpentine system

If you are doing a show car and want perfection, definitly don't go with March IMO. I went thru 4 sets trying to get something that was not nicked, a decent polish, etc and the quality was subpar. I spoke with them and they said that what I was getting is usuall.

I got fet up and tried Billet Specialties and still had do 2 sets for a perfect set. However, the polish and percision was so much better. Again this was my experience and my 2 cents.

I've heard great things about Zoops and that was next on my list if BS didn't work out.

Re: March serpentine system

Here's mine.

I did have to shim up the PS to get it to align up straight with the crank pulley.
Also, I have a Holly HP fuel pump and hard fuel line up to the fuel filter that challenged me for clearance around the back of the A/C compressor & bracket.

I agree with 6Z8rs. Mine also has a couple of nicks and scratches. Right out of the well packed box. 2 on the lower Alt bracket and 1 on the upper pulley. The finish was good.
Keep in mind it is aluminum which is a soft metal. But I do agree that the quality control for perfection and bragging rights needs improvement at March.
