Harmonic Balancer

I have a balancer 6 3/4" x 1 1/8", not sure of that last number now, with 2221 and what looks to have either G & F OR G 3 F on one of it's legs. The hub legs go all the way to the inside of the balance weight. Timing mark is not in line with the key way, but off set to the left if you are looking at it the front of hub.

Any ideas?

Re: Harmonic Balancer

The damper for your 302 should be an 8" diameter unit. #7708 factory unit has the 3 spokes from the center to the inside edge of the ring. The service 7708 does not have the spokes.

Looks like that. There is no mention of the numbers on the hub.

It's for another engine. Goes to my 71 CGC 350 engine.

Re: Harmonic Balancer

While doing some research for a new balancer for my 350, I came across the specs for the 302. It does require an 8" balancer 1 3/4" thick. This is according to "The definitive 1969 camaro Z/28-SS396 fact book" by Jerry MacNeish. In his book he lists the correct part number as 3947708. Hope that helps.

69 SS, 350/300 h.p., M-20, 12 bolt, matching numbers.
