Water pump question

I have a serpentine system form a 2002 s10 and am using the waterpump as well. My question is wheather or not the "nipples/hose connectors" screw out of the pump or are they glued in somehow? It would really help me clean up the hose routing if I could remove an d replace the stock ones. I dont want to try to remove too hard until I know that they screw out.

Thanks

Jason

Re: Water pump question

I would imagine if you see threads and a hex on the nipple, then its screwed in.
Otherwise, smooth tube, it would be a press fit or cast into the pump body.

Re: Water pump question

That makes sense. Its smooth so its probably pressed in. Disappointing, but Im glad I didnt try to muscle it out!

Thanks
