Novice trying to figure something out

I have a 350 4-bolt main engine that has a cast number of 14016379 stamped on it and Goodwrench series on the valve covers, I am fairly sure that this engine did not come out of the '70 chevy c-10 truck it was in. Can anyone tell me if they know anything about this engine?

I found this on the Mortec website.

14016379...350...77-79...2 or 4

Locating the casting date on the rear of the block flange will help to establish when it was cast and the stamped numbers and letters on the pad on the block at the front of the passenger head should tell you what the engine was used in.

Re: Novice trying to figure something out

If 14016379 is the only number you have on the block then it was manufactured Sept. 4 1970. See if there are other numbers visible

68 coupe
matching 327
95 coupe (bone stock)

Thank You all for your help. Next I will find a good car to rebuild and put it in.
