Question 1987 Iroc 305 - 4 barrel carb choke...chokes

Have situ with choke indicator light staying on even after car is warm. Choke stays engaged. What systems cause the choke to go on so I can try to back out the problem. Ideas for tracking down cause? Many thanks

Thanks, Juicer. Sorry, I forgot to mention that I replaced the choke coil but I'm still having issues. Any other thoughts? Thanks!

Do you have power at the choke connector, does the choke flap move freely, not binding? Can you feel the resistance of the choke coil when moving the flap, Fuse ok, also I have seen the terminal back out of the connector so you don't get a good connection at the choke coil.

is the oil pressure sender plugged in? that's where the choke coil gets it's power.

you don't plan sincerity.
you have to make it up on the spot.

wanna hear about 20 years ago when i was too smart to know any better?

I had the same problem on my 87 Formula, choke was always screwed up and a rebuild did not help. I lived in Fla. at the time so took the choke blade out completely and had no problems after that.
