Which valve springs and bearings?

Hi guys and gals. I am now asking for your help again

After finding out that somehow a couple of the valve springs in the heads have snapped (which explains the ticking noise coming from the engine now and then), I contacted Crane Cams to order a set of springs which are recommended for the installed camshaft. Unfortunately, Crane Cams have these backordered for 60-90 days! With the season starting here in DK very soon, I can definately not wait this long.

I have tried to find valve springs from other manufacturers, but I havn't been able to find a set springs with the exact specs. So what shall I do? Shall I find a set of springs with specs that are close enough? What about the various specs such as spring rate, seat pressure etc. Shall I go abit higher or lower?

And another thing. I am also going to need some new bearings (main, rod and cam) and piston rings for my 427 with a steel crank, TRW 0.30 pistons, and 3873858 heads (street engine, though with a heavy foot, with the occasional track day). Which brand/series would you recommend?

Any help will be greatly appreciated

PS. If you know of a good speedshop with low shipping costs to Europe, please give me a shout

Re: Which valve springs and bearings?

Might try looking at Comp or Cam Motion to match up what you have. You could even cut spring pockets and go with a larger spring that may last you longer. Just match up spring pressures according to cam card.

King or TRW bearings would work.
