Smile Hood clearance issues ?

Installed 396 in 67 coupe camaro used big block frame mts. carb is .5 in. from hood. she wants stock hood no scoop. is it possible ?

1st - a big block was an SS, and SS hoods allow a little more room.

2nd - you need the correct height intake manifold.

3rd - you need the correct air cleaner

Yes i figure there is no way around it however i told her i would try , investigating a liitle more. Does the correct air cleaner have a drop base ? And what would be the correct height on the intake ? I am running a Torker -2 which is about 4.25 inches .

I have heard that the torker or torker 2 are short. Yes, a Drop base air cleaner is needed.
