Re: BBC Rods

Considering Eagle ESP/SIR and Scat Rods have been relatively accepted for our Gas Pump Engines; what do you guys think about Star Galaxy Inc. Their SGI R3-5700I 4340 SBC Rod with 7/16 ARP Bolts looks mighty impressive for $220 +/- 1gm.

WOWA! That's a BIG JPG - LOL

The SGI - Eagle SIR SBC competitive Rod with 3/8" Cap Screws sells for $148. I do prefer the Scat alternative over Eagle SIR but still either is a very nice Rod for what most of us expect with a Street Engine. I've been running an Eagle Forged Crank and SIR Rods with Clevite 77 Validium Bearings in my 600Hp SR 454 for a number of years and haven't had issues spinning 6800rpm or better on occasions. I check my lash if I do and have yet found problems - touch My BBC ;o)

I really don't know what to say about Pro Comp Rods.
