TPI Injector Cleaning

Any suggestions on if/how to clean injectors? The 305 I am building has some pretty clean injectors on them and from the cost perspective, I would like to clean them rather than repace them.

Also, what is the lb'age of the stock ones? 19?

With the slight increse in flow from the new heads (Corvette L98's with 1.94" intakes rather than the stock 1.84"'s), should I increase the flow at all maybe to 20-22 lb's?

Re: TPI Injector Cleaning

Injector size determined by CID, stay with 19 lb.
Nothing wrong with running a can of injector cleaner every quarter year/oil change with a fullt ank of gas.

Re: TPI Injector Cleaning

Everett,

Thanks for the advise but I have the motor pulled apart and was hoping to find a way to clean them while they are out (i.e. soak them in a solution).

New ones on eBay are around $129. These original ones were running fine but would like to clean them rather than buy new ones.

Re: TPI Injector Cleaning

Call a local diesel shop and ask who they would recommend. I know, diesel injectors are way different, but still, they may know.

As John suggested, there are places out there to clean and match injectors. Ebay store sells everything, but Accel injectors sold by Summit are of good quality, I bought a set from them and have had good luck, 24 lb. At the time, they were $224/set.
