Really Dumb Question (sorry)..

I have a SBC..On the intake manifold there are two holes up front. One your coolant sensor screws into and the passenger side is another hole. Mine like a couple of my buddies cars has what looks like another sensor that screws into the minifold and has a male electrical connection on top. What is this frigg'n thing called? I need to replace mine because it is looking ugly but when i order it i don't what to call it a thingabob on my manifold..
I know as soon as someone tells me i'm going to pound my head against the wall.

Thanks in advance.
Dave

Exactly what car are you working on, if it's a 69, perv your name, temp sensor is in the
head, sounds like you want a temp/vacuum switch from smog years?????

Re: Really Dumb Question (sorry)..

It's a 69 (blk69) was already taken...lol..
Anyway. The car is a long way away from the stock manifold. When i got the car it had a 10" pusher fan in front of the radiator. I don't know if it worked or not. Last year i went with a electric water pump and wanted to control the fan with a switch. If that sending unit is for the fan i don't need it now because it's run to a switch inside the car. If i can eliminate that sensor i will.. I just want to make sure it don't run anything besides that..

Thanks again.
