Forgot to install manifold restrictor plate for CA car

Just got done building a 350 and found that I forgot to install the intake manifold gasket restrictor insert, The car is in CA. Do you think its worth pulling the manifold and installing it? How much power do you think I'll really loose for a warmed up carb? Thanks

Re: forgot to install manifold restrictor plate for CA car

it's not worth worrying about- i've always left them out. the hotter manifold helps the fuel to stay better atomized for better gas mileage and driveability.

you don't plan sincerity.
you have to make it up on the spot.

wanna hear about 20 years ago when i was too smart to know any better?

Might get some vapor lock on really hot days, but I wouldn't pull the intake now. Wait and see how it does.

Thanks for the reply's. Yes the car is smog exempt. I was more worried about the performance aspect of things. But I'll just leave it as is for now. Thanks again.
