Headers for 350

I just built a new 383 stroaker with Patriot alluminum heads. I noticed that the spark plug holes were slightly lower than stock heads I would assume this is for perf reason. Anyway when I reattached my old set of headers I'm having a tough time getting the plug wires to clear. Anyone experience this problem and can someone recommend a set of headers that would clear.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Headers for 350

Try header or "shortie" plugs before buying new headers...save you xsome $$$...

Accel makes a decent set of shortie plugs...

I agree with keith, if thats your only fitment issue, shorter plugs might work for you.

Re: Headers for 350

If your set of headers are getting worn and just want a new pair these work great with patriots. No power steering, a/c

Re: Headers for 350

Thanks Keith. I had to pound the header to get it to clear one plug on the drivers side. The shorty plugs will help but does not solve the problem. Is this clearance problem common? I also had to pund the header slightly to clear the steering assy. Do you know of a header that might work?
