Oil Pressure Line Question

Hello Everyone,

I recently had an engine fire that has done some minor damage. One of the I'm repairing is replacing the Oil Pressure Line to my center console. I've disassembled my center console to get to my center guages and lo' and behold, the OER (GM Restoration Part) Oil Pressure Line will not reach the threads (Brass Nut) to either my Oil Line Block Fitting to my center gauge, nor the Oil Sending unit on the engine. The burnt up Oil Pressure Line had a cone shaped brass fitting with the brass nut, whereas the OER manufactured one is more "barrel" shape to it. I feel pretty stupid for something so simple, but anyone have any ideas where I might find this Oil Pressure Line with the Cone Shaped stopper? My main concerns is why wouldn't the OER Oil Pressure Line, at the very least, mate up with the ferral in the reproduction center console oil pressure gauge?

Thanks for hearing me out.

Re: Oil Pressure Line Question

I believe all the parts warehouses, Rick's, Classic Industries, etc. carry these and can be easily replaced.

Re: Oil Pressure Line Question

Yeah, and the guage fitting is not standard. You won't find it at a hardware store. But a hardware store 'union' with fit on the original line. That way you can save some trouble.
