What do I have? Anything special?

I had this engine laying around and now I've decided to rebuild it. I thought it was just a regular TBI engine. Mortec says the heads are a 95-98 Gen I crate motor. The block lists as 2or4 bolt roller 1pc rear seal. I found out also it has Mahle Hyperutectic pistons in it (101ST7). These are the same pistons that come stock in LS1's. The cam is a roller but I cannot find the specs anywhere. Here are some numbers I found on it: 17-773-CPC-CCBC. The crank is just a cast one.

The heads look like TBI heads. I don't plan on using them. I have a set of vortecs for this engine. I plan on re-grinding the cam if it's nothing special.

Nothing special. Mahle makes a lot of oem pistons. Most Vortec engines have them. I doubt that they are the same pistons as an LS1, the bore size is different.

The factory roller is nice, even nicer if it's a 4 bolt main. It might not have a provision for a mechanical fuel pump.
