Coil Location

Is their any draw back from mounting the coil in this location? Of coarse i will be making a bracket for the coil.

I would think it's good as long as the air cleaner base fits.
Later on, the coil wire may arc to the air cleaner because of close quarters.

Sry havnt got my glasses....IF that is a pionts, make sure the wire to the dizzy is the same size and length as the orginal.
Changing either and espec both can shorten the life of pionts....this can be adjusted by changing the condessor higher value if the hammer burns and visa versa if the anval burns.
Not a major but sure makes pionts maintance/ adjustment less.

shouldn't have points its an Billet MDS Distributor. Came with the car.

Thanks again. my main concern was the heat.
