Gen V block help

Can anyone tell me what this opening is for on a Gen V block? Oil pressure sending unit? Coolant sensor? I put a brass plug into it to show what I'm talking about.

Re: Gen V block help

OK, after more searching, I'm pretty sure that it an oil gallery opening.
Sounds right?

Randy,
I am pretty sure you are correct but I do have a GenV block at the shop and will take a look in the morning

Re: Gen V block help

I know on a gen 4 it's a oil galley...... I temporarily hooked a oil pressure gauge to it on initial fire up....

Re: Gen V block help

Thanks. I guess I could find out for sure by leaving it out when I start putting fluids in it. Just kidding.
