Throttle linkage

Hi guys,
What have you guys done to inprove 69 SBC throttle linkage. I don't like the slop in mine, and am looking for photos of your setup and/or improvements. I am using the stock 69 setup bolted to the firewall.

Thanks
RJ

Re: Throttle linkage

If everything is tight at the firewall there is nothing wrong with the stock pedal assembly. Any slop would be the throttle rod connecting to the carb. I made this... https://www.camaros.net/forums/blog.php?b=153

Throttle is smooth and positive...

Re: Throttle linkage

Like Denis says...take the slop out of the joins...new bushes....and often those on the carb can be made out of bits of polyproplene pneumatic air hose or smillar....same with sloppy trans/ steering column linkages.

My Spelling is not incorrect...it is creative
