Dougs Header

Has anyone had experience with these headers and a stock BB 396 350 HP? I have read so many posts where guys just cant get other brands to fit correctly without having to modify the headers somewhat. I am really looking for a set I can pop in with no clearance issues. Oh yeah, I do not have AC and do have Power steering. Everything on the car is stock 1968 396.

Re: Dougs Header

If you have a stock 396 don't buy those headers. They are for a 572 according to the ad.

Re: Dougs Header

Stick with 1-3/4" primary tubes and clearance isn't a problem - and they are perfect for a 396.

Hedman Elites are my choice; they have thick 3/8 flanges and 14 gauge tubing:
