How bad?

I picked up the original block and was thinking about rebuilding it just for the heck of it YT block(400 V8/325HP) date code FO27(June 2 1967) Then I saw this:

Assuming this wasn't a Pontiac engine feature

Re: How bad?

Looks like an original casting imperfection. I wouldn't worry about.

Re: How bad?

Great. Never done a rebuild myself,(helped on one, but never needed or had a real reason to), and figure the engine in now isn't exactly built for the long haul, so might as well get to work on a spare sooner or later.

Haven't decided on trying to hunt down some matching heads(I think I can find the guy that sold the original heads, but they could be untraceable by now) or just go with a decent power build.
