What Oil pan

Wanting an inexpensive oil pan for my 69. What do you guy's suggest. Do the cheap 75.00 to 100.00 pyramid bottom pans fit. It's for a sb

I like the Milodon and Moroso pans. Make sure it's clearanced for the stoker crank. Around $150

Summit has a couple for under $50 but they are only 5 qt pans

Nothing wrong with it if the rod bolts will clear the pan. The SBC 400 never came with a windage tray to my knowledge (the two barrel and poor cam specs and valve train pretty well kept RPM down). If you use a "stock windage tray out of a 350 with main bolt stud combination, the crank and rods will hit the windage tray; requiring it to be slotted to clear the nuts on the rod bolts.

Other wise it is a great idea.
