Holley Power Valve

What power valve # should I use in a Holley 750 VA in a 454 bb mild cam 4 SPD, 3:42 gears.

That is part of dialling the carb and timing curves in as described in many older posts....
u need to know the engine vaccuum characteristics of the engine ONCE TUNED into the dialled in specs... idle and cruise vacuums...

Like Steps says once you have maximized the engine vacuum by tuning the idle circuit to obtain the highest vacuum, you cut it in half and round up. The power valve installed in the carb when Holley made it was an 8.5. Put that in there until you can prove to yourself that you really have to change it. This could be because of a cam problem or the carb being a little small for your motor's displacement creating vacuum problems.
