Is there an advantage with performer vs eps?

I want to pick up one of these if rpm won't fit. I read that eps was designed for edelbrock carbs but will it work well with any? Is there an advantage over Performer?

I don't believe a quadrajet will bolt on the EPS. It will on a performer.

Re: Is there an advantage with performer vs eps?

It sits a bit higher than performer and, as stated, is for square bore only. Its supposed to have a bit more peak hp and torque also. Its still is rated from idle to 5500 so it will still "feel" like a performer for the most part.

If I have to lose my air cleaner I'm tempted to just do the rpm model so there is a performance difference. IS there a significant difference between stock and a performer or just weight?

The performer is better at low RPM. The RPM is better at high RPM's.
