I need comments on these heads casting number 3973487X. good / bad in between. Please help!

Imho, it should be a good 75 cc chambered older, stronger, '71/'72 350 motor head per Mortec if you can still get say up to about 9.75 to 1 or slightly higher CR. out of your motor using either flat-top's and the .015" thick Fel-pro rubber coated steel shim headgaskets or regular composite headgaskets and domed pistons.

I haven't ran the numbers through the ROSS Racing Pistons compression ratio calculator so bear with me here if I seem vague...

Thanx PDQ I can always count on a quick reply from you (thus the name eh lol) [img]smile.gif[/img] ok next question do you all think that pushing 400 horse with this head would lead to any reliablity problems? I was thinking Hyper flat tops with a cam that specs out something like 292 duration and .480 lift ???? Come on folks give it to me straight lol tell me what ya think!
