67 327 oil filter bypass valve

I have a stock gm #3959104 5 oil bypass adapter and was wondering if there is a gasket between the block and adapter as I cant find one

Yes, there should be a gasket between the two surfaces. I have not seen this gasket in a gasket set in decades.

Gasket paper and trace out the adapter on it, use an X-acto knife to cut it out.

67 Camaro 350

but the prob is the valve is in the way of the gasket going around and if you see what I mean google that part number and you will see it

If you flip the valve over you will see that the valve contact surface is actually quite small approximately 1 1/2" to 2" in size. The gasket surface is only slightly larger than the span of the valve attachment bolts. IIRC there is also a slight raised ridge in the die casting to help the valve seal against the block. This should help you see the shape of the gasket. I have also used gasket paper to fab my own. I hope this helps.

ok that is fine I just took the gasket the hole circle of the valve and just center punched a hole of 1/2inch to let the oil flow through it if you like I can send you a pic
