Re: exhaust recommendations

I recommend DynoMax Super Turbo mufflers. They sound great and aren't to loud. I have them on my 69.

Another good exhaust system is Magnaflow. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/mp...t/model/camaro

Re: exhaust recommendations

I was surprised how nice the Summit flowmaster look-a-like sounded with my Chevelle, and the price was half of the flowmaster. . .I am sure one of the major manufactures makes it for them. The turn down pipes were a 67-68 style and in 69 they went out the rear, cost more so a lot of guy use the turn down style.

Re: exhaust recommendations

The only company that makes a good compromise muffler is dynomax IMHO. The dynomax super turbos are excellent.

Here is a system that flows 30% better than the stock big-block exhaust. It has a low rumble that allows you to hear other things but it sounds really good :

You might have to wait a few more weeks to order it. I'm buying one and they told me it will be back in production sometime in July or August.

Re: exhaust recommendations

In this case the increased flow of a higher performance muffler will not really do much for power.

Sounds like the OP is looking for sound.

I suggest either a flowmaster, flowmaster knock off or a Magnaflow Maxpack

Re: exhaust recommendations

Just don't get the Flowmaster 10 series. WAY too loud! WAY, WAY too loud!

I ran one for about 6 months. Couldn't take it any more.

Re: exhaust recommendations

X- pipe and either Dynomax Ultraflows or Spintech Sportsman Streets. Don't forget tailpipes. I'd go 2.25" to mufflers and 2" tailpipes. 307 will sound great.

67 Camaro 350
M20 4spd console,
8.5, 30 spline Eaton posi 373
Cowl Plenum
Custom 180 Headers
